Bike Riding 

Bikers enjoy this trail and it is available all year round. The trail is 16.8 miles long so don’t expect you’ll be doing the whole thing unless you are biking.  Also, this path provides under crossings at every road that it intersects, so you don’t have to worry about safety.   People also enjoy walking their dog, but they must be kept on a leash.  Users report that the trail is well maintained and there are plenty of rest areas along the way.

Activities and Animals 

Watching birds is another favorite activity on the Peoria New River Trail, along with wildlife photography.  Sometimes you might see a coyote or a herd of cattle in a nearby pasture.
